This is the incredible collaboration between legendary artist David Wojnarowicz and his friend, comic book artist Jason Romberger.    Depicting the life of Wojnarowicz, from his harrowing childhood to his art and activism.    This was started in 1988 and completed in 1996, 4 years after Wojnarowicz died of AIDS.    It has become a cult classic.   This is the 1st edition of the book, published by DC's Vertigo Verite line.   This was more recently reprinted as a hardcover by Fantagraphics.    Excellent book about an incredible artist and person.
