OPEN BOOK COLLECTIBLES Cerebus the Aardvark #10 (CGC 9.8)

Cerebus the Aardvark #10 (CGC 9.8)

$200.00

Published by Aardvark-Vanaheim, June 1979.

Written and illustrated by Dave Sim.

Signed by Dave Sim.

CGC rated 9.8 with light restoration done.   Highest rating given for this issue by CGC.    Without the restoration work, it looks like it would still be a 9.6 or 9.4.   Easily one of the nicest copies of this issue on the market.

Cerebus is the longest running independent comic ever, ending at issue 300 with the death of the protagonist.    An incredible achievement for an incredible comic.  Initially a parody comic about comics, it went on to make subtle and not so subtle commentary on religion, politics and social issues, with humor and poignancy, and no small measure of controversy.  All this with an Aardvark as a leading character.   Amazing.
